Scope and Sequence

We've built the scope and sequence to be flexible according to your needs. All the lessons have been written in weekly modules so depending on how long you summer school is, you can pick and choose how many weeks you would like to implement. We would recommend that everyone does weeks 1-3 but then choose between weeks 4, 5 and 6 after that.

• Week 1: a-z introduction, Open and Closed Syllables, Blending Words
• Week 2: Magic-e Syllables, Word Building
• Week 3: Vowel Team Syllables, Word Building
• Week 4: r-controlled spellings, Word Building
• Week 5: oo (boot), oo (moon), u (full), ow, ou, Word Building
• Week 6: oi, oy, Candle-L Syllable, Prefixes, Word Building
