Asynchronous, Unfacilitated

The course is asynchronous, which means you can log on and off multiple times to complete the course assignments at your own pace. The course is unfacilitated, which means there will be no coach or trainer to monitor your progress or hold you accountable for completing the course. The exception would be if your participation will be facilitated by your school or district.

As with all online coursework, you are responsible for much of your own learning. We suggest you develop a plan and schedule for completing the course sections in order to manage your time and pace yourself. Watch and read all course materials so you do not miss any important information and be sure to complete all activities and quizzes.

You will have access to the course for at least one year. This gives you ample opportunity to revisit modules and assignments as often as needed to refresh new learning. This will be especially helpful once you begin teaching the program.

Partner with Other Educators

This course is designed for use by individual educators to support their Letterland instruction. However, it can also be used within peer learning communities (PLCs). Each course module includes activities that can be completed and shared with peers taking the course at the same time. You will learn more about activities on the next assignment page.
