2b: How Does Letterland Work?

Letterland teaches students how to read and spell (decoding and encoding) using a story-based approach. The story metaphors and logic engage children’s interest while simultaneously building phonics knowledge. The stories and skills build on one another, ensuring greater retention over time. What’s more, Letterland is multi-sensory. It activates every learning channel through music, actions, alliteration, movement, song, art, games and role-play.
